HTC Changes Shoots Leaders

Throughout the three-year leadership of Peter Chou, HTC, the Taiwanese company's sales still declining. The company finally decided to lift Cher Wang as CEO (chief executive officer) Chou replacement.

"I understand this company, I understand people in it, and I had a vision. I think I am the best candidate," Wang said confidently.

Wang is actually not a new face in the world of technology. Women graduates of the University of Carolina was the person who helped set up HTC and helped establish the company VIA Technologies motherboard and processor.

Forbes magazine even granted the title of 54th Most Powerful Woman in the World. Before reassigned as CEO of HTC, this billionaire woman served as chairwoman of HTC America and Acting Chairperson HTC.

"Peter is a bad performance, but even with the return of Cher, HTCakan remain difficult to change the situation. The appointment of Cher may actually indicate they have trouble finding a new leader from outside the company," commented Jeff Pu which measures the share price at Yuanta Financial Holding C, as quoted from Bloomberg, Saturday (03/21/2015).

Earlier, during the time of Chou, HTC made it into the top ranks of US smartphones. They also managed to resolve patent dispute with Apple, then buy and resell Beats Electronics.

The leadership of Chou also marked drop in the share price issue. HTC market share even more shrinkage as the onslaught of the Xiaomi phone released cheap and Samsung are continually new product line.

After resigning CEO of HTC, Chou will work as the new boss for HTC Future Development Lab.

Over the last year, HTC itself has left the old strategies that focus only on sales of mobile phones. They have extended the variety of products, among others, Re-shaped periscope camera, smart bracelet fruit of cooperation with Armour Inc. and a virtual reality headset through cooperation with Valve.
